Össur Rebound® Foot-Up AFO Foot Drop Brace
The Ossur Rebound Foot-Up AFO Foot Drop Brace is a lightweight ankle foot orthosis (AFO) offering dynamic and discreet support for foot drop. The brace may also be beneficial for other disorders that require dorsiflexion support. This foot drop brace is contoured to the shape of the leg for comfort, and enables one-handed application for ease of use.

Who Can Use the Foot Drop Splint?
A foot drop splint is designed to stop your foot from dropping. The support works by connecting the foot and ankle together, thereby stopping the foot from dropping beyond 90 degrees. By preventing this, it also reduces the risk of trips and falls, offering overall foot support.
What Is Foot Drop?
Foot drop (or drop foot) is when you find it difficult to lift or move your foot and toes. The most common cause is an injury to a nerve in your leg, which controls the muscles required to lift the foot. This is generally a result of the following:
- Sports injury
- Slipped disc in the spine
- Nerve issues (peripheral neuropathy) due to diabetes
- Hip or knee surgery
- Lack of movement (e.g. in bedbound patients)
Less common causes include muscle weakness from conditions such as muscular dystrophy, damage to the brain caused by a stroke or condition such as Parkinson’s, and inherited conditions such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
